Started production in 1923, public released in 1927 by Paul Renner. The font is classed as Sans Serif and is apart of the “Bauer Types”, a series of font families that was designed by the Bauer Type Foundry. Futura was known back in early 20th century for its modern look and high readability, which made it a perfect fit for poster, logos, etc.
The typeface is still made heavy use of in today’s design space, companies like Nike and Google still make of this font today due to easy readability at lots of different scales.

Designed in 1926 and made a public release in 1928, this typeface was designed by Eric Gill, its classed a humanist Sans Serif font, humanist means it was based and designed off old roman lettering that would be have done by hand and with a pen. This typeface was known for its heavy use within Britain, from its Railway service, covers of books and company logos like the BBC before 2021.

Designed by Max Miedinger in 1957, is one of the most common and heavy used sans serif fonts in the world. Originally named, “Neue Haas Grotesk”, from ‘57 to ‘60, the typeface was renamed, “Helvetica” meaning Swiss in Latin by Linotype. During the mid 20th century, the typeface became one of the most used fonts in the world because of its extremely easy readability at all scales and distances, also it fonts is known for it being “neutral”, this is due to it being blank looking and has no character in its characters.

Old style being like a humanist font in a way, being based off older typeface from history, This one is based from typefaces from the Italian Renaissance. During the mid 20th century, this font saw use in advertising and printing media, today, its less common to find but is a common preinstalled font for most software for digital use.

One of the most common and widely used typefaces on the planet, designed in 1931 by Stanley Morison and Victor Lardent, it was a commission by the newspaper company, The Times in 1931 as well. The font was released the public in 1932. It’s based on old roman style of character called “Antiqua”. Some of the reasons this typeface has become the most common font is that it’s the default choice for software like Microsoft word, furthermore during the time of Windows Vista, it came with the OS as standard.

Created in 1750s by John Baskerville, its classed as a old-style serif font for the digital version but since the original typeface was designed a long time ago, its more classed as a “transitional” serif, a transitional serif is a font designed during the mid 18th century to early 19th century. The typeface is still found commonly with book design because the font is clear and easily read.
